By Wanless is a content and communications agency led by life partners Steph and Martin Wanless. With close to 20 years experience working separately in both the UK and Australia, By Wanless was born to collectively conquer the content market with a focus on world-class strategy to help businesses tell their story and achieve their business goals. Ronnoco were engaged to develop a bold and contemporary brand identity that would accompany their positioning and provide them with a solid foundation to see them confidently into the future.


Our discovery process with Steph and Martin consisted of many hilarious hours endeavouring to pinpoint their visual aspirations for their identity including the most colourful and bold mood board we'd ever received from a client. With their strategic positioning and content covered by themselves (of course), our focus was primarily on the interpretation of their super colourful brief. A bold and heavy brand mark was coupled with an extraordinarily bright accompanying colour palette to reflect their exuberant personality, and a suite of graphical shapes that represent the intersection of their multifaceted approach to content strategy provides infinite variation to their brand assets.

Raz’s interpretation of the brief was spot on from day dot – it was like he could see inside our brain… not in a creepy way, but more of a ‘holy moly this man’s a creative genius’ kind of way. He absorbed our rambled ideas, encouraged us to consider alternative, educated suggestions at every turn and came out the other side with a carefully constructed, meaningful, bang-on interpretation of our brand.

You won’t often hear me saying this… but the man’s always right. Not only did he manage to bring the visual dreams we had for By Wanless to life, he created something better, brighter, bolder and bigger than we could have ever imagined.
